Airport arrival
Most guests arrive through Tbilisi International Airport. Orange Cat is prepared so the first hour after landing stays simple: connectivity can be arranged early, only a small amount of cash is needed, official taxi is the safe default, and self check-in does not depend on meeting the hosts in person.
Before departure
- Guests receive host contact information, the apartment address, navigation, self check-in instructions, and arrival guidance.
- Orange Cat can also offer a Georgian Magti eSIM option for guests who want strong local mobile Internet during the stay.
- Nothing requires meeting the host at the airport.
After landing
- The offered Magti eSIM is activated after arrival in Georgia, not at home before departure.
- Activation requires Magti network coverage and active Internet, so guests may need temporary roaming or airport Wi-Fi first.
- This option takes a little more effort, but many guests find it worth it because Magti coverage across Georgia is strong.
- If a guest prefers not to use the offered eSIM option, arrival is still straightforward. The point is to make first-arrival connectivity easier, not mandatory.
Cash and exchange
- The hosts recommend exchanging only a small amount of cash at the airport.
- About 50 to 100 US dollars is usually enough for immediate arrival needs.
- Cash should be exchanged only at a legal airport exchange point.
- There is little reason to exchange a large amount immediately after landing, because city rates are usually better.
Airport to Orange Cat
- The safe default is an official airport taxi.
- Guests do not need to install local apps, register an account, and attach a bank card immediately after a flight unless they want to.
- Official taxi desks such as Yandex or Bolt, or clearly branded official airport taxis, are preferable to informal offers from drivers approaching passengers directly.
- This may cost a little more, but the first 30 minutes in a new country are not the right moment to save a small amount and take unnecessary risk.
- The drive usually takes about 25 to 40 minutes depending on traffic.
First evening logic
Orange Cat is prepared so that a guest can arrive, enter, get online, and spend the first evening normally without first solving city logistics or running immediately to a supermarket.
- Wi-Fi is already working.
- Water, ice, and basic first-evening essentials are already in place.
- Self check-in remains viable even late at night or after a delayed flight.
Detailed arrival guidance stays private
The public website explains the safe default logic. Confirmed guests receive the current operational arrival instructions, self check-in sequence, and direct host support details privately before check-in.
