After landing
Get online first.
If you need a Georgian SIM, cash or transport, all three are easier to sort out before leaving the terminal.
Once you are on the way, the public part is simple. The private entrance and access details are already in your guest instructions.
Airport Wi-Fi
Tbilisi Airport provides Wi-Fi in the terminal.
Use it to message the hosts, open maps or arrange transport before you leave the building.
Airport services can change, so treat this as practical guidance rather than a promise from Orange Cat.
SIM or eSIM
If you want a local SIM, Magti had a counter in the terminal during our July and August 2026 field checks.
An eSIM may be easier if your phone supports one.
Operator hours, products and prices can change, so check what is available when you arrive.
Cash
You do not need to arrive carrying a large amount of cash.
ATMs and currency exchange are available at the airport. Rates and fees vary, so check the screen before confirming a transaction.
A modest amount of Georgian lari is useful for the first day.
The simplest way to Orange Cat
The official airport taxi desk is inside the terminal.
During our July and August 2026 field checks, the quoted fare to Orange Cat was 50 GEL. Cards were accepted at the desk then. Check the current fare and payment options before paying.
This is usually more expensive than Bolt or Yandex Go, but it is straightforward: tell the desk where you are going, pay, and take the assigned car.
Allow roughly 30–45 minutes in normal traffic. Tbilisi can always invent another answer.
Bolt and Yandex Go
Both are commonly used in Tbilisi.
They are often cheaper than the official airport taxi, but airport pickup can be slightly less obvious if it is your first visit.
Check the car, registration and pickup point in the app before getting in.
The final approach
Orange Cat is in a large residential building in Tbilisi.
Your private arrival message contains the entrance and access details you actually need.
If you have luggage, follow that route rather than improvising around the building.
Personal airport pickup
A personal pickup may sometimes be arranged in advance.
It is not a standard airport-transfer service and depends on host availability.
The first evening
The apartment is prepared before arrival, and confirmed guests can use self check-in.
Wi-Fi is available once you are inside.
Carrefour and Aversi Pharmacy are in the building, so the first evening does not require much planning.
Private arrival details
Building access, entrance instructions and other private details are sent only to confirmed guests.
They are deliberately not published on the open website.
